Favorite Maffia Movie

This too me is so hard because I love these types of movies, I live in a Italian nieghborhood and I know alot of guys like this(covering my mouth with my hand so the feds can't read my lips). Maffia movies are so good and it's very hard to pick a favorite.

I guess If you put a gun to my head(lol) I would have to go with Goodfellas. There is so much going on in this movie, Gangster shit, robberies, drug dealing, putting people in car trunks, gumarriers and wacking made guys(a big no no). Ray Liota, Joe Pesci, Robert DeNero, and Danny Aiello, how can you go wrong with a cast like that.

"Ever since I was a little kid I wanted to be a gangster"

Not taking away from the Godfather movies, Casino, Donnie Brascoe or A Bronx Tale, these movies all rule but I gotta pick Goodfellas as #1 with A Bronx Tale as a close second.

Sonny is such a bad ass in the movie and Cologenal is a bad ass in real life. This movie is just so damn good only Goodfellas is better.

Scarface is great too, I don't think too many people will argue with that, I remember going line for line with Tony Montana(back when I was a junkie).

Carlito's Way is an unbelievably good movie as well, that scene in the pool hall is classic and who could forget "Remember me, I'm Benny Blanco from the Bronx" so friggin good.

And don't even get me started on casino, cause that movie is a close 3rd, like I said It is so hard for me to pick a definitive #1 but If Joe Pesci had a gun to my head , I gotta pick Goodfellas.

In real life these guys really are good people, just don't do business with them and don't wind up owing them money, Oh...and never snitch on your friends.

definitly Goodfellas. and from all of the interviews i've heard from Henry hill, most of the movie was accurate. in fact, they only brushed over some big parts of his life he was involved in, like basketball point-shaving.

Casino was a great story told. I will never forget when Joe P stabbed that guy in the neck. "What I look funny to you like a clown, Is that what your saying that I look like a clown". Something like that

the "I am funny like a clown" was from Goodfellas. In Casin o he stabbed the guy in the neck with the pen because the guy in the bar got loud with the "Golden Jew", "Same Rothstien". The midwest bosses did'nt want anything happening to Ace.

I love in "A Bronx Tale" when the bikers cause problems in Sonny's bar, he locks the door and says, "Now yous can't leave" then they F up the bikers and the whole nieghborhood gets involved. Best scene of the movie.

I must have seen goodfellas and not remember it then. But for some reason those lines and the pen scene come together in my mind. In any case no one else couldve pulled that off.

i voted casino why?.... this quote

"I think in all fairness I should explain to you exactly what it is that I do. For instance, tomorrow morning I like to get up nice and early take a walk down over to the bank and walk in and see you and um, if you don't have my money for me, I'll crack your ****in' head wide open in front of everybody at the bank. And just about the time that I'm coming out of jail, hopefully you'll be coming out of your coma and guess what? I'll split your ****in' head open again 'cuz i'm ****in' stupid, I don't give a **** about jail. That's my business. That's what I do."

this is my favorite scene from Goodfellas....

Tommy DeVito: Hey Henry, Henry, hurry up will you? My mother's gonna make some fried peppers and sausage for us. Oh hey, Henry, Henry. Here's an arm.
Henry Hill: Very funny, guys.
Tommy DeVito: Hey, here's a leg. Here's a wing.
[He laughs]
Tommy DeVito: Hey, what do you like, the leg or the wing, Henry? Or do you still go for the old hearts and lungs?
[Henry vomits]
