She also said the ants there were ginormous. And they bite hard as hell. Fire engine red in color.

Ants are equally as cool as praying mantises. Ants are proportionally a helluva lot more intelligent than humans, and like 3x stronger. They also never sleep, and they look like aliens when magnified. Have you ever noticed that when you injure an ant, it only takes it like a minute to heal itself? Maybe I'm wrong, but I've noticed that if you flick one, or just barely smash it or something, it will curl up and shake a lot, and you can tell it's injured cuz it can't move at all, but then like a minute or 2 later it will just walk away like nothing happened.
Thats what she said. Sorry for some reason I couldn't help but post that

sharks can detect stuff like that cuz of the dot looking things on their snout called ampullae of Lorenzini.

Yes, I am a shark documentary nerd.

I want to see a praying mantis. How in the hell do they attack people? I don't know where I would look ie what their habitat is, on trees, in gardens, what?

Bushes and shrubs are the best places to find them, at least in Ohio.

She said you're probably 5-6 inches long? I feel bad for you.

No, Ck187. The mantis used it's alien powers and tricked you into thinking he was tapping out.

He in fact injected you with his neon fluid. Your skills in Jiu Jitsu will become honed. Your blood will turn green. You'll grow antennae on your ass.

You are Mantis Man.

I have never seen one except on tv. I don't even know if they live in the northeast US.

They are the yakuza of the insect world.
Ive seen two in my entire life (Im 17) both in the last year, and i live in boston. My mom said that she used to see them all the time when she was a kid.
