Who is the Best Player in the NHL?

Title pretty much says it all. I'm a huge Joe Thornton nuthugger, have been for like 6 years. I've also been really impressed with Camalleri this year so far, and I couldn't be happier because the Kings are my team (3 game win streak!). What do the hockey fans out there think? And please don't say Crosby, I'm so sick of hearing that.

This season alone, there are soo many,
Ryan Smythe is always good,
Joe Sakic one smart hockey player,
Aleksander O, dudes a rocket, I wish Bure would come back and play,
No question Crosby, but he is over done alittle bit.
Brodeur, off to a slow start this year but damn dude, hes the greatest.
I'm super proud of Sundin this year,
basically all of the Penguins, I love their team this year.
Jonathan Toews is definately promising this year.
Draper of the Red Wings never fails to amaze.
Jagr, need I say more.

Man theres soo many but honestly I'd probabaly have to go with Sakic. This man is pushing the ball up the hill and going strong way past his prime. He's got the experience, smarts, speed, accuracy, clutch, hes the total package.

Kane and Towes look to be bringing hockey back to Chicago, which will rule. Why can't I get these young players in a Leaf jersey? Right now I'm enjoying these two, and its crazy since they are only 18 and 19 respectively.

Roberto Luongo is the most dominant player in the NHL. I know he's a goalie, but no guy is more important to his team than him. The Canucks simply aren't in the playoffs let alone getting a prayer for the cup without him. I watched the game in Detroit the other day. Without him that game is nowhere near a 1 goal loss.

Speaking of Detroit Zetterberg is tearing it up on my pools

Why would you say that word?

And I would say Zetterburg (if that is how you spell it)

Going into this season I would've said Vincent Lecavileir, Sidney Crosby or Roberto Luongo.

Now, I'm going with Danny Heatley or Ilya Kovalchuk. Kovalchuk is the best natural scorer in hockey (Ovechkin is 2nd for sure, but Kovalchuk is disgusting) and Heatley is unstoppable.

Zetterberg has impressed me this year, as has Iginla (hate him more then anything). Thorton was my 1st round pick in my fantasy pool and has been a major let down this year, but his leadership and space he gets his team mates is undeniable.

I wish I could say Naslund or one of the Sedins, I really do. Or even Luongo. But the Canucks are bombing for me so far. I have high hopes for the next 60 games though!

Yeah, that was some sloppy spelling. Accept my apologies please.

Afinogenov isn't even in the top 25 players IMO, maybe top 10 skilled but definately not a complete player by any stretch.

WTF happened to Brodeur this season hes getting raped.

On the other hand though, Leclaire of the Blue Jackets is starting to shine. I called that last year that this team would shape up and wouldnt be surprised if they made the playoffs.
