Also it helps to have the whole album with the art so you get the idea of where they wanted to take their sound on that record and it gives you a visual that goes along with the music.

Some of my favorite records have alot to do with the album art.

I'll see if I can get their albums from a download or something then I'll give you a review of what I think afterwards, it'll be great.

Man, I love talking about music, I could type shit here for hours and not get bored.
That's cool man I like talkin about music too and I remember you had that pic of you (was it you?) and Mustaine so I was looking forward to your input cuz you obviously have similar taste in music as me.

I'm doing my all-time favorite band next week.

Yeah that was me with the photo with Mustaine. I met Megadeth at Gigantour in Edmonton in 2005, got a nice photo if anyone wants to see it.

Since then, I havent changed it as my Msn photo.

Just click "[More]" underneath all the other smilies.

Definately wouldn't mind seeing that pic of you and Megadeth too -1.

Awesome. At least we got a few CKY fans in here.

So here's what I wanna know. Do you guys think if CKY was on your local radio station, that they would be as popular as say Three Days Grace or Chevelle? Chevelle is an awesome band I think, they got a shitload of good songs, and I think CKY does too. I think most of the songs in my sig are good enough to be on the radio.

Not that I want them to be on the radio anyway. Then their originality would disappear. Just wondering what you guys thought.

I'd of course listen to them, but I doubt theyd be popular with the kind of people that live around me. And yeah, Id most likely not want them on radio either.

Holy shit, my favorite CKY song (Song #1 on my sig) just got even cooler, if that's possible. It's always been my favorite because of the beat/riffs...but now that I know what the song is actually about it's even better.

I guess the song is about how all the leaders of every empire on earth, historically, have tried to mold their citizens into a certain type, and discourages being different and unique. Just read the lyrics and listen to the song...the video was made by a college teacher, not CKY, so don't pay any attention to that.

Here's the lyrics:

Quote:
arriving in at work behind
speed up the assembly line
don't force units together
follow the instruction sign
this isn't happening a fourth time..
work the parts responsibly
place them biologically
release the incomplete
bury the unfaithful fleet
this isn't happening a fifth time..
this blood is flowing through a warped mind..

[Chorus:]
see what's inside all the things you will find
can you see yourself doing that?
when you're out on the move seeking something to prove
can you see yourself doing that?
you were in their design,
just thrown into a mind
and the world becomes a path
how the subtle divide
manufacturer's bride
in the wake of aftermath

compatible reality
forming separate entities
dead heads and holy water
we instill the wants and needs
work with the team to make the deadline..
modern man cannot survive
drowning in formaldehyde
inhuman creation station
that's where we control your lives
and it's been happening since the dawn of time..
this blood's still flowing through a warped mind..
I never knew or really gave too much thought about what the song was about. I like the lines about the "warped mind" which probably mean a mind that didn't get brainwashed...and the last line of the song being "This blood's still flowing through a warped mind..." Just awesome.

CKY are a lot like Rob Zombie in that they are influenced by horror movies when writing their songs, so that's why it kind of has a little twist, but I think the meaning/message is still pretty clear. It goes well with how they refuse to go mainstream, and make music for their fans, and only their fans.
