Redbirds mark here (check the profile picture you beezies)!
Look for us to make some noise next MF'ing season!
Our staff is deep: Carpenter, Wainwright, Mulder (please stay injury free!), Looper, Pineiro, and Reyes.
Our bullpen is solid....with Springer, Franklin, and Isringhausen closing the door in the 8th and 9th.
Plus...alongside a healthy, injury-free lineup, we're gonna be putting up some NUMBERS. Pujols at 1B, Rolen on the hot corner, Edmonds in center, Ankiel in right, Duncan in left, Molina at the plate...plus, we just signed Jason LaRue as a back-up C, so I'm pumped for next season.
pt & hammafist,
The staff in NY will be solid for once! Get those dinosaurs off the hill already (Clemens & Pettite)! You guys have Wang, Moose, Philip Hughes, that BEAST Joba, Kennedy & Igawa. A deep, YOUNG talent pool who will pay dividends, watch. If it comes down to it, Farnsworth will probably be the closer.
I don't know who your catcher will be if it's not Posada, but there's still plenty of talent in the Bronx. Jeter at SS, (appears) Pay-Rod at three bag, Cano at 2B, Jiambi and Duncan at 1st, and the outfield is good to go. Damon in left, Melky in center, and Abreu in right.....shiiiiiiit. NY will probably be better (record-wise) than they were last season.
The A's aren't in a very good spot right now. More of a "middle of the road" team. I mean, their best player is Nick Swisher. They have a couple good pitchers in Harden & Haren though.
Maggs = One if the BEST hitters in the league, no doubt about it.
Sheff = Closet 'Roid Abuser
Zumaya = BEAST
Smokin' Joe the new Big Blue manager. I've been hearing lately that Torrie Hunter wants to play in LA. That will only add MORE speed to that squad. Pierre, Furcal, Hunter, Ethier...they'll be swiping some bags in Chavez Revine.
Yeah people...if you wanna talk some MLB, just throw out some topics, and I'll throw my two cents in anytime!
Oh yeah, I almost forgot:
Holliday > Rollins
