Obviously, if you are not a christian then you do not really care, but as a Christian I think that being gay is your personal struggle and if you show true obedience to God then you will not act on it, or at least have a life of trying to avoid it.
im not buying that, denying who you are for the duration of your life would be more than a struggle it would be torture. No matter how you view a creation no god would create someone a certain way just to see if they could withstand there natural urges for the rest of their life

What does sinfulness have to do with legality? I assume you are familiar with the separation of Church and State?

Everyone is tested. Try reading the book of Job.

I personally am against gay marriage, so no I wouldnt want it to be legal. I am not going to vote yes on gay marriage because of the seperation of church and state. I really dont think making gay marriage legal would do that much. There are gays now and there would still be gays, the only difference being some of them would be married, but that doesnt mean I am going to support it.

Religious people stil think our fore fathers wanted religion to influence politics.

If you believe our fore fathers were religious, try readiing some writings from Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, James Madison, or the treaty of Tripoli by George Washington. They didn't want religous people in power and would be disgusted with the Bush family and how both ran this country.

jojo333 has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Personaly i think if two people want to make a commitment to each other, whatever sex they are then good for them.As for adoption if a gay couple whether it be men or women, can offer a loving home to a child that need's one then i don't see the problem.

I'm for it. I don't see any logical reason why they shouldn't be allowed.

I'm also for gay adoption. I'm fine with that too, I've read studies showing they will be raised the same, some day otherwise, but then I consider how many hetersexual terrible parents there are.
Gay parenting is probably not the ideal way of being raised right now, but it's hardly the worst.

I appreciate the opinion, but its stupid. To me, these sorts of values need to be upgraded with the times. Yeah, there was a time when being gay was a sin but there was also a time when people thought the world was flat. I think once general society can embrace something, then religion should follow.

So in a Christians opinion a man should be unhappy and get unhappily married to a woman and have an unhappy family with the woman because an old book says that man love is a sin?

Can always count on Pauly J to come in with a "your opinion is stupid" comment. I really cant believe that you think religion should change with society. That would pretty much eliminate the point of religion, there would be no religion, just society. All religions would eventually become the same as society changed. I didnt say gays should try and force themselves to be straight.
