Wow.

This was definately not expected when I turned on my computer after work. I feel really sick right now.

Alex_DeLarge said alot of the things I had always thought over the years.

Carlin made me the person I am today. I can't imagine what my life would be like if I hadn't heard him speak.

Carlin would always look up to Richard Pryor when talking about the greats and he was almost always second when it came to a best comedians list but I knew those were always wrong because George Carlin has a mind that you cannot teach. The logics that man has stated is truely mindblowing. George was just something else whenever he had the mic, his job description was to make people laugh but he opted to go further than that

I never had the chance to see him on tour either.

See you on the other side, old man.

EDIT: I just referenced Carlin the most recent number thread UFCFAN33 created. If anyone can find it and post it in here I'll give to them a few thousand points in July. (Y)

That sucks ass.

I never like George Carlin as much as Bill Hicks, but damn that's still sad.

There's no one that can compare to Bill Hicks, sad to see George kick the bucket.

he lived a good life and I hope he is happy wherever he may be with his wife. I'm still saddened by this. His humour, no his blatant honesty with his humour is what not only helped me laugh through the hard times but helped shape my sense of humour and views on the world and certain subjects. So it is currently 10:45 am, a day off which is insane for a monday and i drink a shot to george carlin. Here Here!

Bill is my second favorite comedian but George covered way more then Bill ever did. Hicks was a brilliant man, but he was a one trick pony. George also has the same mindframe but he covered way more material and his whole gig wasn't about negativity. Playing monopoly, shopping at the grocery store, comparing baseball to football, pressing your face against a caged fence, I mean the list could go on and on. He was just more versitile.

George Carlin in the 60s/70s was still edgier and funnier than 90% of the stand up today. The man was funny, intelligent and didn't give a shit. Dude was Mr. Conductor too damn it!

Not to say I shared his views on everything, but he was was a one of a kind talent and individual. Sad day to lose such a legend, Carlin is the GOAT of stand up. In honor...

Carlin is the greatest. When I heard the news I was seriously bummed. Celebrity deaths don't normally bother me. I mean shit happens, people die, but Carlin was someone I admired. I just loved his brutal honesty and for being funny as **** at the same time. There will never be another.

I woke up yesterday (my anniversary) to this news. My wife and I were lucky enough to see him at the Fox theater in Atlanta last year. He unveiled some of his most recent material that night (the same night my beloved LSU Tigers lost to Kentucky in football). Well, that was about the only thing that could still make that a great day.

George was truly an epic comic. His life and his material were shared and he held nothing back. He helped raise my consciousness when I was very young. He was my father's favorite comic and that is one of the many things my dad got right.

I will certainly miss George and it really started my anniversary off wrong when we learned of that info.
