so, this genius i work with, and i, have been discussing something called "metamaterial" for a few weeks now. it is basically the way we will be able to harness invisibility in the near future. it's full of crazy technical concepts, but basically, it works the exact opposite of everything we understand.
think of how light bends in water... well, with metamaterial, the image would reflect above the water, and make the object appear to float above the water!!!
i'll post a link. if you're into technical/science stuff, you'll eat this all up.
to put it in simple terms, they have already been able to make objects invisible to microwaves and other spectrum waves... sadly, visible light is really hard to do.
