What has Obama actually done besides helping some poor people in Chicago? He has done shit in Senate and he's actually voted against popular bills that he should have voted for.

Obama is smart, he was one of the few against Iraq when it first happened. But he was for putting aggression in Darfur to help them. He supported going to foreign lands and making allies. If you really want a gung-ho president than go ahead and vote for McCain! Thats is the main issue right now. If we want a pro-aggressive president who's first plan of action is to attack an area that already hates us to our core, fine.
If you seriously think that Mccain will invade Iran then you are retarded. We would be anally raped if we did that and everybody knows that. He will not invade Iran. There is no way Mccain would do that. I would much rather have a president that is willing to do what it takes to keep our country safe if he has to then a president like Obama who is a pacifist and won't do anything.

Again I have to agree with you there. But damn it, why whine about it? The fact of the matter is this is the way our country is. We have to deal with that, and act accordingly. What will not voting do? Just stay silent in the background?
I can whine about it because it's the truth and I have a right to whine about it. I find many problems with our current political system and was expressing my opinions about them. I never said I wasn't voting either.

getting a running mate who would make a better president than you is never a good move IMO.
Biden agrees with Obama on a lot of points. Their main difference is that Biden has more experiance with foreign leaders.

Redrum- I see you are right, and maybe I am over thinking the term lost the election. But she contradicts a lot that McCain stands for! It just seems so hypocritical that it would make a lot of people dump him.

ZZ- (I think this was your latest post, there are so many to reply to I have no idea) When you have simular political views as another it doesn't really matter. Plus there is the fact that they would support the other running for president. And if you listen closely to McCain's introduction of his runningmate you'll notice there is nothing about how she would do well leading the nation.

MJ- I know that McCain wouldn't lead to that. But the subject at hand was that Obama would support America towards communism, to which I argued:
Quote:
You are missing the point here, do you really think Obama can force this country into a Communism? After 50 years of nothing but anti-communism being stuffed down our throats? While having 50 years of pro-Christian beliefs BEING shoved down our throats? Listen if anything, this country would head into a Theocracy if these events happen.
I was just saying how if anything we are further into a Christian Fundamentalist society rather than communist society.

(F*ck, guys. I'm getting gang raped here, I need the plazzvan to get me out of this thread. lol)

You make some decent points but they are so easy to rebut because the fact is Obama really isn't qualified to lead a country. I think if he had a few more years as a senator under his belt then maybe and thats a big maybe he might be able to do better.

People get so hung up on the fact that he can speak so eloquently and think that thats makes him a good candidate but it really doesn't.

McCain did a lot to oppose his party, but when George got the nod. What does he do? He goes back on his word and endorses Bush. You can take that as a random comeback but all I am saying is that both canidates have flaws. That is just the way politics work.

Did I say he would invade Iran? I hope not (been to busy looking at responses to tell). Anyways, all I know is that McCain is a very aggressive in his stances. And Obama is a pacifist in that he likes to take the UN way in. Make sure of everything by the book before anything.

I never said it was bad to whine, all I meant was that this is the way it is. it could change by next election, who knows? But the fact of the matter is that this is how it is.

Look, the reason why I am voting for Obama is because I would like to see what change does for America. I would like to see how exactly things were to play out. Rather than just continueing the streak that we are going on now.

Faith does not have to be about religion. I have faith that Obama will back up what he sats, because well, that is what America needs right now. I just believe, call it blind faith or whatever, but I kinda feel like Jodie Foster from Contact LOL. I just have to believe it out of faith.

And you have a perfect reason not to! Bush tarnished the "American Spirit" so much that people now actually start to laugh at the fact of, "trusting the politicians."
