If it came down to choose between Democrate Hillary Clinton and Democrat Barak Obama, who would you choose as the democratic nomination?

ok, let's look at this intellegently!

Hillary: dumb, has done nothing for anyone, constantly in a mud-slinging battle as opposed to speaking on aything substantial.

Obama: fiercely intellegent, very succesful in everything he's done, doesn't participate in typical "back n forth" mudslinning as a way to gain advantage, actually cares and has an oppinion on whats going on.

hmmm... its a shame a nice, wholesom, intellegent american like obama ain't gunna win because his opponents will sling mud at the guys name...

god damn politics...

honestly, if obama is on the ticket, i'll get out and vote. for the first time in my life, i'll have the option to vote someone into office i think would be a good president, as opposed to voting for the lesser of two evils! (which defeats the entire purpouse of the democratic process)

all this is still despite the fact that nobody's vote means a damn thing! it's all just a show to make people feel like they have a say in the whats going on. if Obama runs, and doesn't get elected president, then either the entire population of this country is ****ing stupid, or its just proof that your vote has zero power!!!

I didn't vote in the last election because it was choosing the lesser of two evils. I would vote for Obama over Clinton because he is intelligent and doesn't surround himself in controversy. When you vote it is for popularity but I think the electoral college has the actual power to pick the president. Obama said he will not run but a week ago he changed his mind by saying that he is not sure. I for one hope he does run, he is the best candidate for the democrates and in 2008, a democrate will be elected as President, IMO.

oh, it'll definetly be a democrat that is elected. although, you can't be sure, since the electoral college has full veto power over every single american's vote! if they want to, they can choose whomever they want, totally ignoring the popular vote!!! it's happened!!!

Nabors12 has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Most of my life I have been on the republican side of things, but recent events have moved me to the independant realm. I would definitely like to see Obama run, I would definitely vote for him, he just has so much charisma. Either way im going to be voting democrat in the midterms and in the presidential eliection, because its definitely time for a change....

I know there were four past presidents who didn't win the popular vote but won the electoral vote to win the presidency, including George W. Bush in 2000.

There was 1 president, don't remember who, he won the Presidency and didn't have the popular or electoral votes.

They should just get rid of the electoral college and just have the one person, one vote policy.

literally and without any way to dispute it, the electoral college means that the american voters vote has zero effect on deciding the president. even if the college chooses to go with the popular vote, they have absolutely no obligation to do so, and can overturn the pop-vote in favor of who "they" want, with no problem!!!

the simple fact that it exists, and that its existance was obviously voted into existance by the senate/house, whomever, means that it wasn't put to the people and is obviously an attempt by the goverment to control its own existance. hence, destroying democracy.

if, for any reason, any governing body has the power to veto voters votes, then there IS NO DEMOCRACY!!! how can anyone not see that???
