Carnegie is often considered one of the greatest philanthropists ever.

Nice find, and a fun read. What was the "original net worth" exactly?

Robot wars..Why didn't I think of that?

I'd get a remote control truck and play with it in the parking lot, and Stan has to watch me and be super jealous....oh wait that's South Park.

I would use however much it took to get Dave Chappelle and Neal Brennan writing and taping Chappelle's Show again.

I would pay Disturbed to play my birthday party.

I would start promoting female MMA fights, altho I probably wouldn't have enough to have my own full on promotion after getting Chappelle back on the air.

I would find and pay highly a qualified MT instructor to teach in my town.

I would buy all Dana's Bruce Lee memorabilia from him.

I would do terrible, terrible damage to my fortune at various department stores around the country.

He also funded eugenics programs. And had strikers harassed and killed. And was partly responsible for the deaths of over 2000 people in the Johnstown flood.

Exactly the sort of evil hobbies I would get into if I was that rich - a eugenics program made up of sexy women, and my balls

All of those court documents indicting Carnegie for ordering those Pinkerton "hits" really work in your favor...

Right...It had nothing to do with the overcrowding of a city that was churning BECAUSE of Carnegie and the jobs and opportunities he was creating. Because the growing city had narrowed the river banks to gain building space, heavy rains had caused increased flooding in the years leading up to the flood. Apparently rich people are now responsible for natural disasters. The city governing body who sold the land, knowing the dam was in bad shape? Nah...

Ok. Just for laughs - "And while the law (of competition) may be sometimes hard for the individual, it is best for the race, because it ensures the survival of the fittest in every department."

In the 18 years from 1901 to 1919 he gave away the bulk of his fortune of half a billion dollars at the rate of $25 million a year.

Philanthropy corporations started by Carnegie in the early 1900s are still giving away millions every year.

Tell me, what have you done with your time besides nitpick and annoy others at every chance you got?

The city wasn't there cos of the job opportunities he created, the biggest industry in the town was a steal mill owned by his biggest competitor...
The damn broke because him and his mates didn't bother keeping it in good shape.

So I have to be a billionaire to make comments on these things?
