Just a story I want to get off my chest.... Early this morning, driving on the way to work I pulled up at a red light on a 3 lane street, when I notice that the guy in the car to the left of me was waving his arms trying to get my attention, so i rolled down the window, to see what was up. He yelled at me in a rude voice, "don't you think your car is too close to mine!?" I looked out of my window, and I was inside my lane, nowhere close to his car, so I said "No, I don't think so." He proceeded to yell, and say that I was too close to his car, so I tiredly and politely asked him,"look it's early in the morning, we both have to go to work, don't you think this is a sad way to start the day?" He responded, "sad? i'm not sad, i'm happy, because the next president of this country is gonna be a black man, and i can't wait to see the look on you white motherf*ckers' face when he wins!" I looked at him with amazement at how dumb he was, and said, "obviously i'm not that close to you, or else you would have seen the obama sticker on my car." then the light turned green, and I just sped away angry.
Now let me just say that I am a democrat, and will still be voting for Obama this coming election, but WTF? It would be nice to think that this was the only guy that acted like this, but I experienced many moments like this when I was working the polls for the primaries(in a mainly african-american neighborhood where I live), and a lot people were saying all this racist things about white people. It's like they don't care what the issues are, they just care that Obama is black...and totally negate the fact that he is half caucasian. Some of them need to realize that it is not black and white that divides this country, it is rich and poor.
