Before I posted my reponse I waived the decision to read the OP's post and will now like to offer him some advice on his pending stagefright.

I remember my first fight, I was soo ****en pumped all the days leading up to it. Come time for weighins I got alittle nervous cause it was my first time there and everyone else had soo much experience. So the fight was the next day and I was still feeling fine.

At about 2 hours before the fight I began to feel nervous but I had my team with me and we worked some takedowns to get my mind off it. I was the very first man in the ring that night and on the way there I did my best to remain calm and confident. The same can be said when i watched my opponent walk into the ring.

All of that changed though when the door closed and the staredown came. I was in the zone and nervousness was nowhere to be found.

The fight went good and I ended up winning. I won my first fight and you can too. Remember also that it's alright to be nervous and don't let the drunk, angry fan's commentary get to you, it comes with the job.

Train hard everyday, don't give up and have some fun.

I train (although I can't during university because of transportation issues) and eventually hope to compete. I'll resume training in April, and I can't friggin' wait.
