Your First Half NFL MVP?

Eh guys,

After watching a lot of games this season...and listening to many ESPN columnists discuss this issue, I figured I'd see what everyone here thought. I'll list the top choices in my opinion, but if I miss someone that you think is worthy, do a write-in via this thread. Have fun. Discuss! Start voting!

Im proablly the only one who will pick my boy McNAbb. Despite the eagles 4-4 record McNabb has been playing pretty great. If the eagles wouldnt have made so many stupid mistakes and if reid could have made some better game decisions the eagles should be 7-1. Some how having a 4-4 record and a bye week McNabb is still 1st in passing yards and 4th in Qb rating Now dont get me wrong the other guys on this list are outstanding players as well. Hopefully the eagles can do better the 2nd half..Go EAgLes

Mac Danzig and his bird feeder once visited the Virgin Islands. They are now The Islands.
Mac Danzig can kill two fighters with one bird feeder.
Superman owns a pair of Mac Danzig bird feeder pajamas.

Technically speaking, Manning is the most valuable player. But the other players can all be praised in different ways.

Manning - Most Valuable Player - Without him the Colts would not be the only undefeated team in the NFL. End of story.

Larry Johnson - He's a fantastic running back and right now he is statistically the best in the league.

LaDainian Tomlinson - Is the most valuable running back in the league hands down. The guy gets every yard that is physically possible for how the defense and blocking is. He jukes, maneuvers, finds holes, better than any other running back probably in history. He is the most well-rounded RB probably in history also. He catches better, he throws passes better, he does special teams better, he is the most consistant and reliable RB in the league. Sorry I had to write all this but ya know he is my boy!!!

Drew Brees - Most Valuable acquired player this year. He is one of the best QB's in the league and at first I was pissed when San Diego let him go but now I see Rivers is just as good if not better so it's all good. Without Brees, the Saints would not have a winning record.

Donovan McNabb - Best comeback this year that's for sure. The Eagles are struggling a bit but Donovan is back to being Donovan and doing his thing again.

I cant stand Manning though he is probably the MVP to this point. I still voted LT tho.

I'd still take Brady over Manning any day. Bradys stats in the Sunday night game may be horrendus but I dont think he played pretty good. Half those interception werent really his fault. The Manning to Brady comparison is like comparing Montana to Marino or Jeter to A-Rod. Brady plays good enough throughout the season to make the playoffs then excels in the playoffs and wins. While Manning goes above and beyond in the regular season and has crazy stats then plays sub par in the playoffs. Sorry to go off on the Manning/Brady rant i know it was a bit off topic.

Good post I agree 100%. Brady is a proven champion and Peyton can't ever pull it out. As of right now though I think Manning is the most valuable player. Overall Brady is the most valuable player because he doesn't need people like Marvin Harrison to help his stats. He can throw to any reciever he pleases and he does. Vikings game he threw to 10 different recievers and threw for 4 TDs. Manning has Clark and Harrison but it doesn't go much deeper than that. A true champion can play the game good when he needs to, and can throw to any receiver available. And that's what Brady does.

Exactly, and dont forget about Wayne and Stokley. I wont argue that Manning is the MVP right now and usually is in the regular season. The guy is a great player. But it just seems like evertime he drops back hes got greta protection and has a wide open man. It seems like anyone could do it. I doubt many people could do it as great as him but still I think his team really helps his numbers.

Andre Johnson.

Despite being on the Texans and having a quarterback like David Carr he still leads the league in Receiving Yards. More than Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrison, Chad Johnson, and Terrell Owens.

From the poll options, I would go with Peyton. There are undefeated.
