Voting by the Music

I have a friend that I work with and he told me his basis for voting for every Presidential, Congressional, and Senatorial elections. He votes based on the music that plays on the radio! His theory is that during the Clinton years we had all these boy bands coming out of the wood work! Then when Bush got into office we had all these rap stars coming out and started singing about Republican agression! So if he wanted to listen to pop music for two the four years he'll vote for a Democrate and if he wanted to listen to politically based rap music he'll vote for a Republican! What are your thoughts on this method of voting for a candidate?

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

you know, your point makes an excellent segwey into an article i've been putting together. it's about how the electoral college effectviely nullifies your vote and how the only real power anyone has to effect this country lies in the election of senators and congressmen... i mean, the electoral college has chosen to ignore the popular vote like 3 or 4 times in american history... to me, that is ****ing insanity!!!

I only vote in local elections ie mayoral, governor, house and senate. These are the positions that effect me and that I can effect with my vote. Funny though, my friend voted for Rick Perry(Republican Incumbant) as Governor of Texas and then I voted for Carol Keaton-Strahorn(Independent) as Governor of Texas. So I pretty much cancelled his vote.
