The saddest movie I've seen by far is Lorenzo's Oil. I couldn't watch it whole, I wanted to tear my teeth out during some of the scenes.

Cool Hand Luke is a sad movie. And One flew over the cuckoo's nest. The Pride of the yankees. City lights with Chaplin. The grapes of wrath, E.T. .

Dumbo and a lot of other kids movies were damn sad. Disney really knows sad.

Stand by had sad bits, but I don't think it was that sad overall.

Yeah, when Mustafa died it was awful. What was the movie with the streewise dogs and the cat? Arnold? And all Dogs go to heaven was pretty sad.

I can think of a lot of movies with sad scenes, but not that many that are sad overall.
