I actually like spiders, they kill all other annoying bugs. Once I was really drunk and there was a black widow on the ground outside, and I was putting my finger next to it seeing if it would bite me... fortunately it didn't bite me, which is good, since I have no ****in' health insurance, I was just being drunk and stupid. up here in oregon we have black widows as well, although mostly in the southeastern deserty parts (more like your cali environment, wukkadb). my dad was a geologist and he would take my sister and i out on surveying trips, we entertained ourselves by flipping rocks to find scorpions and widows. we took one that had an egg sac back in a jar to vancouver WA and the sac hatched- we didn't consider that the tiny brown baby spiders would be so small they could escape through the airholes in the lid. luckily we moved away soon after that happened

one time there was a flash flood, those get crazy in the desert because of the hardpacked earth, it carried all our tents away down the ravine. i had a scorpion in a paper cup on dad's truck and didnt realize the cup was full of water until the scorpion was near drowned. I pulled it out with my bare hand and the little guy lived, and DIDNT sting me. Yay!

Haha sweet story, scorpions are bad-ass. And little baby spiders are ******* trippy, there was an egg-sack in our backyard and we opened it up and a bunch of little spiders started mobbing out! It was really creepy actually, haha.

Good Lord!

That is the most horrific spider that I have ever seen!

I also hate these (Brown Recluse), got bit by one once back in New Orleans, but my reaction was mild thankfully.

Spiders eat mosquitoes. Therefore they are one of my favorite creatures on the earth.

i like spiders. especially big ones. i could see why people don't like them. just like some people don't like rats or snakes. but i like them. i think they're fascinating. so thumbs up to them.
