Question Who watched Hannity interview the G20 protestors?

My roommate and I flipped to this a few days ago and I gotta say, this is one of the few times I've ever been on Hannity's side of the argument (not that I watch his show all that often). Right off the bat (3:05) when the woman in green responded to Hannity's question of them condemning the violence at the protest by asking him if he condemns the violence we spread in the Middle East -- which reeks of a red herring fallacy to me -- I knew we had a keeper.

Discuss. Socialists, where you at?

disturbing video of the military snatching someone out of the crowd and driving off.

ARREST HIM FOR NOT MOVING FAST ENOUGH!

Hex, your first video is not of the military, but of SWAT police officers. Pittsburgh SWAT. That is Multi cam they are wearing and Pittsburgh SWAT wears that type of uniform sometimes. The kid in the first video was also on the ground before hand and arrested prior to the car getting there. Supposedly he broke a window at a BMW car dealership. So he was thrown into the car fast and and swift because of the crowd nearby and the lack of police compared to the crowd.

In your second video, the protesters were breaking windows, trashing cars, etc. etc. on the street behind the officers. The officers were pushing the protesters back and away from the area behind the cops that was being vandalized.

Anyways, it's no surprise that the protesters of G20 would turn violent...

"When I hear athletes call themselves warriors, it does bother me a little bit. When I think of a warrior, I think of the Marines I've led in combat, those Marines that sacrificed so much...no showers, little food, no contact with their family, all for their love for their brother Marine and for their love for their country. That's a warrior, willing to lay his life on the line. I've had Marines that have laid their lives on the line for the man next to him, and for their family and country. That's a warrior. The guy who goes into some athletic contest who has no war experience, in my eyes, really has no right to call himself that. That's a coveted thing to call someone, and that's what I call my Marines. Those are warriors." - Brian Stann

Well that totally justifies it. The land of the free and the home of the brave! where the government drives up and throws you into a car like a roadside kidnapping.

Really? So you know that guy was culpable? Proof please. I saw a guy on a bike talking to a cop, and then all of a sudden he was face down on a trunk.

And I am shocked, shocked I say, to hear you apologizing for the government no matter how ridiculous

I'm telling you the tactics of how to arrest someone in the middle of a crowd when you don't have enough police to contain the group.

They apprehended him, got him to the ground, then picked him up and put him in the car with the cops getting in the car as well. It's a swift pick up in a zone not controlled by cops. It's not like he was kidnapped, he was taken to jail... In an area like that, you don't take your sweet time in putting the person you are arresting in the car, you have to get in and get out. Especially when the kid is resisting...

And yeah it's justifiable to arrest someone that is going around vandalizing by breaking windows.

Not saying he was, but he wasn't listening to police and was just standing there and pointed his finger. Those police aren't sure who vandalized that street behind them, they just know they need to clear it and anyone who is in the area at the time are suspects of the vandalism. In a situation like that, you listen to the police and do as they say.

??? I think it's stupid to get a point across at an event by vandalizing, stopping traffic, disturbing the peace, breaking windows, trashing cars, etc. etc. If you're going to protest, do it in a peaceful way and one that doesn't interrupt someone's daily life. Those are the kinds of protests that get you somewhere. Not going down a street vandalizing everything because you simply do no like the government.

I have zero interest in debating you on this topic, you're not presenting established facts. I mean you cite "pointing a finger" as a reason to slam someone down and arrest them. We've been around the block before and I understand your opinion on authoritarianism. I'll let the videos stand on their own, they are scary as hell to me frankly. And you have an american flag as an avatar. Good night

Okay... First off. I'm not an authoritarianistic person. Matter of fact, I'm 100% pro democracy, freedom, etc. etc. That's why I have the American flag. I am all for freedom of speech and I am all for protests of any type. People want to say what they believe which I believe is 100% right. BUT, once you start breaking windows, slashing tires, vandalizing city streets, etc. etc., then it goes from a peaceful protest to a RIOT. That's why the POLICE... not the MILITARY, stop people from destroying private and public property.

I am presenting facts, which you are not. You still have the video up of SWAT members... once again PITTSBURGH SWAT members arresting a kid for BREAKING a window at a BMW car dealership. That my friend is rioting and not protesting.
You still have it up as "disturbing video of the military snatching someone out of the crowd and driving off," when in fact they are POLICE officers. You sir, are not presenting facts, but distorting the truth.

I presented you the tactic that POLICE use when trying to control a RIOT and arresting people and in a situation when there are not many police nearby, so they come and pick up the person they arrest as fast as possible and drive off to the jail with the arrested person so they are not RUSHED by the rioters.

The person on the bike I don't really care about, I just presented to you what WASN'T in the video. You are basing your opinion on a couple minute clip for both videos and not looking outside of those videos. Yeah they were a bit rough and weren't taking shit from the biker who obviously wasn't listening to police orders so they got rough with him. When have you not seen police get a bit rough with RIOTERS (yes, the guy on the bike may not be a rioter), but when you are on the street that was completely vandalized by the rioters and you are not listening to police orders, what do you expect?

If you can't debate with me, that's fine. I'm always mature about debates and look at both sides of the issue, but I don't appreciate being told I'm not presenting facts, when I am, and also being told I support authoritative rule when in fact, I am completely opposite.

You sir, should not judge so quickly...

Once again I'm tending to lean toward the conservative on this one. Put yourself in the place of the officers; riots are scary as hell and they were just trying to make the arrest and get out of there before it got more out of control. Blame the dumbasses who started breaking shit first.

I watched the first video and damn, I think they found the two dumbest girls they could have found to speak on the subject. I got a very "shooting fish in a barrel" vibe from this whole interview. I tend to be a very moderate liberal, but sean is one of the better conservative guys in the media.

The government should be afraid of us, not the other way around.
