Those gloves are sweet. I wonder how much they would cost to make legit ones that people could train or even compete with.

My buddy wants to learn a bit about fighting so I told him to come over and I would show him a few things on the bag and mitts. I need to buy a ouple of sand bags first though.

I bought a heavy bag and the stand from Ringside, I put it together (I had to wing it, the directions sucked big time) and it came out very well. I put it all up and put on my gloves. First few combos were good but then I threw a kick at the end and knocked the whole thing over. It is in my garage and I had boxing gloves on so I couldn't catch it or anything. I just shoved it away from my car.

Hopefully some sand bags will do the trick.

I live in montana, last night I stopped to help a couple who were stuck in the turn lane of a busy road. We couldn't get the car to start so we were waiting for a few guys that also saw they needed help and pulled over.

Ok, so Im leaning against the car a tad standing sideways and the f'n thing rolls back about a inch not really a big deal right? Well it was enough to knock me off balance and I fell sideways on the car and ripped my ACL AGAIN, but this time I think its gone, actually felt the rip, hurt so bad I just laid on the car for a second. Made me want to cry I was so mad because now Im laid up at home elevating my knee for at least a week, no money for the surgery Ill eventually need Im so depressed ATM.

P.S. As long as they are HQ gloves id rock them, all our gear has Sakura Warrior Arts logo's but I think it would be sexy advertisement for the forums.

I actually broke the chain on my bag last week I do my "training" in my workshop, so I have like, 270 degrees of motion around my 80lb bag, surrounded by wooden shelves and power saws. (AND SAW DUST OH MY LORD THE SAW DUST IS SO HARD TO GET RID OF) The lack of work-out room causes me to "go off" sometimes and get really violent with my shelves if I fall in to them or anything, but that is not the point here.

My hands were a little worse for wear on that particular day, which is fairly common for me, and I was throwing a lot of low kicks and middle kicks.

After a lot of reps, bouncin' around to Daft Punk, I thought it would be cool to practice a throwing a right high kick, and immediately dropping and shooting in for a takedown. I did this like three times, and I was actually impressed that I was performing this, until the fourth shot.... I wasn't really thinking and I grabbed the bag by the verrrrry bottom and pulled too hard, breaking the chain. It fell on my head and neck lol. It was pretty brutal considering what was left of the chain rained down onto the back of my head.

Seriously imagine this in your head, I shoot in, catch the bottom of the bag, and as I spring to stand, it brings me face down to the floor lol. I find it lol worthy.

So me, a 140lb guy was almost killed by an 80lb bag last week. Bruce Lee was wrong.

Anyway, just thought I would share my bag story too

lol @ the bag stories I have a pretty decent one too.

I was hitting a heavy bag at the gym and I was doing so low kicks. My friend being the dick he is tells me I need to kick lower and harder knowing that the bottom of the bag is made of some type of SOLID material (Feels like hard plastic or cement lol) well I think you get the rest.
