I'm doing a few house type things before I go to tutor at 2:30, then I'll do kickboxing or run, if more than one treadmill is working at my gym. I got my orange belt (karate) yesterday at the yearly dinner that the dojo puts on. My daughters don't do martial arts anymore, but they both came with me and I was kind of excited for them to see me get promoted.
TBH, the karate belts aren't a big deal to me. They're more a symbol of discipline and determination than of me thinking sport karate is the sh!t. I probably won't test in that art for another year; I'd like to concentrate on judo, running and the emerging BJJ program. My judo sensei recently got promoted to nidan, which means that he can promote to shodan, which means that we are now a complete program.
