A lot of grocers measure in KGs and also, all amateur fights (boxing/mma/BJJ/Muay Thai) are all weighed in in KG's. (at least in my experience).

Metric system is the way it's suppose to be fellas.

I mean, 1 kilometer is fine, and it equals to 1.6 miles.. That stuff doesn't make sense.

The metric system is a bit more logic I would say...

1 kilometer = 1000 metres = 100.000 centimetres = 1.000.000 milimetres

1 ton = 1000 kilos = 1.000.000 grams

And so on - everything is dividable by 10, logic

Yeah, I think Rauno got it the wrong way around - 1 mile roughly equals 1.6km

A quatermile is 402 metres :P

And 62mph equals 100kmh

Not when you put it like that it doesn't.

You'd have to walk a mile in our shoes.

I like to mix and match, just to keep things interesting.

I use millimetres and centimetres for length. I use stones and lbs or just lbs for weight and I use miles for distance

Metric system rocks.

We need to adjust the measuring of time though. One day has 24 hours, an hour has 60 minutes and a minute has 60 seconds. What is this shit? I say one day should have 100 hours... let's say 10 because it's easier to build a clock for 10 hours, an hour should have 100 minutes, a minute should have 100 seconds. Of course we would have to adjust the length of a second but that's just a matter of definition.

I'm actually serious about that. (not)

Anything that doesn't make sense when you try to express it as a 10^x just makes things more difficult.

Obviously my opinion is based on me hating math.
