Well to be completely honest I'm agnostic - but I believe in a lot of the traditional Buddhist values, like karma, don't judge others and general kindness and peace... A bit hippieish but I like it

Cool! I believe in the religions general concept as well.

Just finished my brunch. Relaxin' with some Orange Pekoe tea. Two more solid weeks of UFC coming up! Amped up about Aldo vs Edgar and Overeem vs Big Foot!

I really wonder if there are people out there who make a living off making bets strictly on MMA.

PS: Noticed the Strike Force header is gone. That's a lot of changes in the short span of time in the history of the sport. One by one they all fall.

Marcus Aurelius: Tell me again, Maximus, why are we here?
Maximus: For the glory of the Empire, sire.

Baked, not fried... the healthy choice.

I have always wondered how Mr T would have done in MMA. I just read his wiki and I think he'd have been an incredible MMA fighter if the sport was big back then. Same with guys like Bill Goldberg.

There are a lot of people I think that about. For example, how would someone like Kurt Angle have done? Nobody would have matched his wrestling credentials. Not even today.

Urijah Faber - Dustin Poirier - Frankie Edgar - Demian Maia - Miesha Tate - Claudia Gadelha - Jessica Eye - Tecia Torres

Yeah Angle is a great one, how much truth was there to the "I had a broken back and won Gold at Atlanta"?

I assume none. But yeah Angle was a monster. Mijain Lopez is the only guy I think that would make the transition better.

Angle faced further hardships while taking part in the 1996 Olympic Trials, when he suffered a severe neck injury, fracturing two of his cervical vertebrae, herniating two discs, and pulling four muscles. Nonetheless, Angle won the trials and then spent the subsequent five months resting and rehabilitating. By the Olympics, Angle was able to compete, albeit with several pain-reducing injections in his neck.[11] In the fall of 2006, Angle stated that he temporarily became addicted to the analgesic Vicodin after injuring his neck. He won his gold medal in the heavyweight (90–100 kg; 198–220 lb) weight class despite his injury, defeating the Iranian Abbas Jadidi by officials' decision after the competitors wrestled to an eight minute, one-one draw. The bout saw Jadidi earn a point after two minutes and 46 seconds by turning Angle, and Angle earning a point of his own with a takedown after three minutes and eleven seconds. The officials' decision was protested by Jadidi.
From his wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurt_Angle

Let me clarify - Five months is NOT enough to heal a broken neck back to competitive health. He was a scary man back then

He probably would be a MW...he wrestled at 100kg, so he would probably have cut to 185.

Honestly none of those people scare me in MMA. Who scares me is Aleksandr Karelin. That guy was a violent giant sadistic mother ****er. He used to pick dudes up from flat on their stomach and slam them on their heads. And he was a driven dude, he only has a loss on his record because of some bullshit new rule.

Gokor Chivichyan would be terrifying as well.

You also said the ravens had no chance again the pats. They are on a mission for ray. The niners have looked less than impressive too. Baltimore doesn't blow leads.
