The books (so far, I'm on book 3) are better than the movies, but the movies are really good as well. As for not liking it, it just depends on taste really. For example The Lord of the Rings bores me, I can't even get through the first movie, yet everyone seems to love it.

I didnt think the HP movies ive seen were terrible, they were alright but the huge fanbase it has amazes me.

I loved LOTR though... couldn't get through even half a book but the Movies were excelent.

I read all the HP books and saw all the movies, and I saw all the LOTR movies while reading none of the books. I don't know, something about how J.K. Rowling writes makes you feel like you are right there going through everything with them sometimes. She's a great author, not saying that Tolkien isn't. I imagine living in the U.K. that HP is even bigger than here in the states right Killz?

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Both very popular but we both like different ones, it's all about taste. HP has a huge fan base for the same reason LOTR does, both were hugely popular book series turned into movies, so before they were ever put into movie form they already had a gigantic fan base from the books. The movies spread the already huge fan base/spread the word of the series and next thing you know, ridiculous popularity world-wide.

I'm really close to cooking up some bacon. It's 2am, but I'm craving bacon.

I've been wondering this for quite some time, Michael what's with the sudden trend of 2 initials as your username? LOL. I knew it had started a few years ago but now it seems like tons of members including you have donned the initials. Sup wit dat?
