I have always been around military type people. I really like the structure, the discipline, and the excellence that they demand out of every soldier. Every Marine, no matter what their job is within the military, plays their role in defending my country and I think about this every day, and the way things are going in America these days, this country needs defending.

I think about how I am able to sit and post on this forum, or play video games, or go out and party, or go train at my gym whenever I feel like it without having to worry, and it is because our military is protecting our freedom. I want to do more than just take advantage of my freedom. I want to help protect it.

Yeah I have been pretty mentally strong most of my life. I usually don't let myself give up until my body literally gives out. I can't stand it. I feel like complete garbage if I try something and give up on myself. I also know that it will be like nothing I have ever experienced before as well.

Coming from me there is nothing really to make you ready. All you can do is prepare for whats coming the best you can. Be in shape and get ready to be F*cked with hard...But also do be so wraped around the axel that you miss out on all the fun stuff..Rifle range, Swim Qual, Pugel Sticks, The crucible ext ext

Yeah I realize that I can't really do anything to emulate what basic would be like. I know that I can get through it though. I have talked to DI's as well and also understand that they don't mess with your head just for the sake of messing with you. They are trying to break you down so they can build you back up and make you stronger.

Make lasagna, soccer, judo. I ran 3 miles earlier and walked my dog, so I may need to take aspirin before class so I'm not achy.

That singleweave is hot as shit in the non air conditioned gym, and I have to wear a shirt underneath, and it's kind of distracting. Most of the guys have swanky ones with the Kodokan logo, or ones from various tournaments, etc., so I'm being jelluz.
