Been there done that sucks pretty bad. Dont drink from a staw and keep the sockets cleaned out....Dry sockets are a bitch

Yeah all of mine were impacted so I was swollen up but you get some good drugs!

Puddin and soup.....No straws Im not sure y but I herd it Leads to dry sockets.....I was eating whole foods after about 3 or 4 days and I had all 4 of mine removed...Make sure you ice your cheeks or youll be swollen like a chipmonk

And Ive never had a rootcanal but I think it would hurt less than wisdom teeth

Yeah no straws at all. If you suck or spit (no sexual pun intended) it can rip out the blood clots in your gums. At least that is what the dentist told me. I ate a lot of soup at first and then lived off of oatmeal for the most part. When they started healing more I could eat other things. At one point I was so tired of oatmeal, I made a hot dog and then ripped the outer layer off, and the middle was kinda soft and soggy, that was still kind of hard to eat. I would also make a cheese sandwich and then microwaved it to make it really soft, and then ripped off the crust. But those are more for when they are mostly healed.

But for early on, I would say things like soup, oatmeal, pudding, applesauce, etc...
