You are correct, sir.

Flipping back and forth between the fights and Richard Pryor's I Ain't Dead Yet.

I have to sneak my fight-watching because my husband hates me watching MMA for some reason, even if it's women's fights. That doesn't make any sense to me at all. It's OK if I watch hockey, boxing, or any other contact sport, but watching MMA means there's something wrong with me??

I do an awful lot of good normal obedient cookie-cutter (pun intended) wife things. I don't see why I can't enjoy this particular interest without having to hear complaining and opinions from hell.

Why doesn't he like you to watch it?

He doesn't like grappling, and makes comments like "this is soft-core porn for you" which 1) doesn't make sense and 2) is f8cking stupid. That means I should never watch any contact sport involving men, by that logic, but he doesn't like watching women grappling either.

It's completely irrational and asinine and infantile, and is just a power play in fancy dress IMO. Especially when you factor in that he seems to have no problem with me grappling with women at my dojo. He is unable to deny that there are lots of other women who like combat sports both as a spectator and a participant.

At the core, it's a control issue. I can't stand people throwing their weight around on me. It makes me put my head down and dig my heels in. I respect logical debate, but like many people I refuse to respect authority exercised for its own sake.

Well, if you would have married GSP, this wouldn't have been a problem. Think before you act, I always say.

I do agree about the powah play. A man not happy watching women grapple with his woman = man hidden in the closet, or perhaps a powah play.

He has never seen me grapple, at all, with anyone, and I don't want him to.

GSP would never marry me. I'm 11 years older than him, not Catholic, I don't know how to make poutine, and I don't wish to live in the harem quarters for breeding a microrace of super athletes 100 feet away from GSP's house in the souvraniste compound.

Been thinking of how to respond to you with an amusing SP joke, but somehow I am failing.

I think I'm going to go put in a pizza, watch Troy, and probably fap to the pizza and Achilles.
