I've only seen the first two parts of Harry Potter, because it was on TV once, and I must say, it's actually not half bad. Too lazy to watch the other parts though.

I read almost all of them when I was a kid and read the last one a year ago, for finishing's sake.
It's definitely not as bad as people who haven't even read it think it is. It's pretty well written, it keeps the excitement level up there and the plot is complicated enough for what is generally considered as a children's book.

I only ever watched the first one guys.. and it was alright. But after that I knew, that I don't need to follow the 2, 3, 4, 5, 6...

The books and films get alot darker and in depth as they go on. Books 1 and 2 are very child like, but as the characters age it gets alot better.

People seem to just label it a kids series and never try it, and you're really missing out if that's the case.

I think the same goes with James Bond. I mean, the movies are good, but god damn, do I really have to watch ANOTHER 20+?

Exactly Leed! With the exception of every Roger Moore James Bond it get's old and boring..
