Then lay them on me. If you can post predictions that have in depth detail that have happened, like exact dates, details that are completely, 100% unpredictable (cannot be predicted by man), details that if you put them in court, would actually pass as evidence, then I'm all ready to listen.

If you provide anything that man can predict, then it is useless. You're trying to prove God here, so these predictions must be very damn well amazing, cause people predict things every single day.

Predictions that haven't happened yet are useless.

Baptist way of thinking? I'm confused, are you saying other christians don't believe this verse? The verse is pretty straight forward.

I'm interested in how you fallen away, and btw no, I've never heard of Dante's inferno. Link me to some of it?

What exactly makes it proof of a god and not just a book of good predictions?

I really don't understand how giving accurate predictions on extremely broad topics somehow is evidence of a spiritual being.

They are predictions written about the most conflict ridden area of the world by human beings who will keep doing what they have always done; look in awe at the wonder that is around us and use god as a simple blanket explanation for everything that has not been properly understood.

Yeah, that isn't impressive. Any person could make predictions like that today, in fact, there are people today who can predict the immeidate future, some of them make a living off of it.

If what you just posted is "proof" of God, then your idea and acceptance of proof is extremely low.

Put that into court or anywhere where evidence is required, and it will be throw out in seconds as null and void.

If you wish to try again, I'm willing to read, but unless you have something more impressive than an infinite amount of time with no detail, it's useless when taken logically and rationally.

Just curious since this seems to be predominantly an arguement over the Christian religion; are all the other religions wrong?

Also just curious if any of you have studied Horus, an egyption god that basically parrallells the story of jesus but obviously happened much earlier. Christianity was simply an adaptation of this religion.

no, most christians do not believe that as it sounds. well.. most dont if you agree catholics count as christians.

There is a verse that says "I tell you these things before they happen, so when they do happen, you may believe." The particular verse escapes me right now, but that's the purpose of prophecy.

So the fact that he made predictions and then told us when they come true it will prove his existence somehow proves his existence?

That doesn't even make sense.

I predict that sometime in the future the oceans will swell and consume the great states of california and florida. I predict great wars in the middle east and I predict the rise of a great nation in the orient. When this occurs you will know that Ape City is the one and true god and you must put a dollar in the box!

Seriously check out a comparison of Jesus and Horus....it's really crazy how many times this story has been flipped around and had the names changed but it's always the same. Put a dollar in the box...
