When does this hit the shelves?

So, this would answer all our economic and service issues with cable and satellite providers. Anyone know anything about this?

I am not sure if I got the exact point of this device. It is basically a digital high def cable box that also logs onto the net for videos and music?? If that is right then we already have all this. If not in one box then with the comp that sits in front of my tv. Sounds alot more expense than just having the computer tv combo. Correct me if I am wrong but this doesnt seem it will bring anything new to the market and will be a flop.

Except it stores every bit of the content on its ?? terabyte hard drive for you to view at your leisure. And it is being talked about at about $40/ month. To get that kind of access on cable you would need to p[ay upwards of $100 plus your internet line.

This thing will blow cable out of the water and the stuff we view on computers now is so pixelated that it ruins the viewing at times. This will still have the same quality of TV and supposedly be in HD. Trust me, this will be bad assery.

Forty bucks isnt bad but I think it said you need a broadband connection already so your still paying double. But still regular cable is like forty dollars so it is a good trade. But is this high def only??? Its convienant for people that only go online for music and video for sure. Then they just hit up the tv and play. I need to test this thing for sure.

Your viewing this as only PC related. It still gets all the regular cable networks too. And the only thing that I viewed as PC related is that some content comes there, each user has his own storage space and home page, and the storage capacity/hard drive.

It is slated to come out later this year, but I am expecting that to be pushed back.
