This is a bit late, but I just rewatched CroCop vs Hunt and (good) CroCop hit him with a sick head kick that didn't even phase him. I know afterword he said that it hrt like hell, but he didn't even wobble. Now my question is, why was Manhoef able to knock Hunt out with punches? Was it because Hunt was running into the punch when I he got hit? I really don't understand, Manhoef's punches can't be stronger than Mirko's head kicks. Could it have been where the shots landed...Manhoef on the jaw and Mirko to the side of the head? Just seems it a bit strange, what do you guys think?
It's a combination of Hunt getting older, it was so early in that fight, he COULD NOT have seen that coming, and being so early in the fight he had no idea what kind of dynamite Melvin really carried in those hands.
I think it has slightly more to do with where he got hit. I think CC's kick hit him in a spot where it didn't really wobble his head much, considering how freakin thick Hunt's neck/skull is. As where Manhoef hit him dead on the button.
Needless to say though, Manhoef hits like an Abrams.
