Were the photos above taken with that!? I'd of guessed a phone camera dude. Something isn't right. How far are you zooming? With optical zoom the quality gets stupidly bad at high zoom levels, so that may be why?

There is a reason most wide angle lenses for DSLR's and Mirror less cameras are prime (fixed focal length) And high zoom lenses have very narrow points of view.

Basically your camera can't change lenses, so Nikon have tried to make it do everything. At high zoom it will fail miserably for image quality. Should be able to give you some decent shots at it's lowest length or low zoom. Don't zoom in at all, get closer to the subject and try a few shots

yeah I'm definitely doing something wrong. (it has too many settings) I get good sharp movies but the camera is constantly refocusing when I try to take pix.

Maybe it's me and not the camera but, I never can get good sharp focus like your pix.

I got this for the Ole Lady and it takes great pics. But we don't zoom a whole lot.

Maybe 50 yards at the most. Try like KRY mentioned and get a little closer.

I'll post some of the pics I took with it. I don't know if I have any of my pets. If not I'll post um up in the Photo thread.

He's abandoned the rawhide chews and his doll. He's either sleeping or chewing on the the toilet brush and or plunger.

I wish I had named him Tito. His head is ridiculous.

Still trying to get action shots. it's hard to throw the ball and work the camera when one dog goes after the ball and the other goes for the camera.

That indoor shot is much better Nice and sharp face and blurry background. Head is amazing bahaha that dog is cute as hell.

You have no idea how much I understand and empathise with the second sentence...

I'll put a few action shots of my hound up later.

How old are they now man? Still got plenty of growing to do?

Awesome dog man. So keen to get one of these but it's quite hard to find a good breeder where I am.

Budhi that's the coolest dog on the innerweb (until dude's grows up) he should be MMAF's mascot. He needs a BJ Penn sweater that says "just scrap"

some of my pix are getting a little better. This camera has too many settings and I let the kids play with it sooo..

Kry it sounds like you too have a few thousand pics of your dogs butts. I keep trying for those cool airborn shots.

here's a better one of Tito's head. There is only 6 lbs difference between them, I think it's all in his head.

They are 25 weeks tomorrow.

7weeks

13 weeks

24 weeks

That soccer ball is only one week old.

Bahahaha love it dude. My dogs destroy balls that quickly as well. Crazy loons.

Action shots of my Hounds! Indie, female Collie is still rockin' at 15 years old.

Pictures get bigger here and I'm way too lazy to resize atm
