Poor person in Canada = Can wait to get a costly procedure for free. Might die if it takes too much time.
Poor person in US = dead.
Wrong! I worked in an emergency room for 5+ years, and I know for a fact, that you are incorrect. The hospital cannot legally deny service to anyone, regardless of stature.
The difference between a Stanford graduate and a high school dropout isn't whether they'll receive medical services, but it's about whether their medical services will be paid by insurance. The chances of the Stanford graduate having insurance is much higher, than that of the dropout.
I have to check, are you being serious?
Yes, read my quote.
So education is now what were basing the value of human life upon? The people that are against government health care have probably never had there credit destroyed by unpaid medical bills or been layed off from work and had to try and afford health insurance without a job. Its pretty hard to see the flaws in a situation when your standing on the side of the road that gets all of the benefits and none of the struggle.
I filed bankruptcy at age 19 over medical bills, and I still completely disagree with government based healthcare. Seriously, don't feed me this, "You're spoiled...," shit.
Of course... you know as a 5 year old kid, with parents poor as dirt, its was clearly my own responsibility to take care of my health care... oh wait, its actually my parents fault for having me... forgot about that...
...thats right, cause really, if you are poor, you dont really deserve to live anyways, much less have kids... so at the end of the day only rich people who made their own opportunities get those rights... in fact, we should probably get rid of inheritances too... yeah, so that everyone gets to start from scratch... yeah, thats the ticket
I never said that I don't agree with Medicaid, but I only agree with Medicaid for a particular number of people, not everyone
. Children have been, and will always be, covered by Medicaid, when their parents can't afford proper healthcare. I'm a firm believer that you
make your own future, regardless of your childhood.
This is why americans have a bad reputation worldwide...It's a shame because I like 99% of the americans that I meet, but that 1% is always a complete idiot.
I don't care what you think of the typical American.
