True enough. My test for any world view or belief system is how self-sufficient it is. If it cannot endure external critique and requires other's people respect it leads me to believe that it is essentially weak, and not truly helpful to the individual.

Its absurd when people talk about the 'power of faith', but can't stand it when people criticize their beliefs. If your religion and your faith is worthwhile, if it truly provides strength, you shouldn't need validation from other people, it should be enough on its own.
