Good. Hope he gets worse next time.

There are lots of people to feel sorry about who are horribly injured while not in the process of torturing animals, so I'm not wasting my feelings on this guy.

Can't believe this is still going on in a supposedly civilized country.

Lot of hate for this guy. I don't really feel anything for him, he's just another person. But I do feel infinitely less for the animals he's tortured for the entertainment of others. I'm not sure why but I've never felt that animals are of any value when compared with that of a human.

That's not to say I like or promote the torture of animals for fun. I had to shoot a dog once, he was aggressive towards me. Until I found he had a collar and owners, the only thing I had felt was recoil.

^^^it has to do with going out of your way to torture an animal for entertainment. they stab the bull with spears over and over with the sole purpose of enraging and terrorizing it. why should i feel bad when the bull manages to defend itself effectively?

I thought they only stabbed it once to kill it after tiring them out?

Oh I'm not saying to feel bad, I mean you can't go around poking at bulls and be surprised when you get owned by the bull. But at the end of the day its not a whole lot worse than what happens at slaughter houses. I think I just tend to side with humans over animals in most scenarios.

In many scenarios I would too- a hiker being attacked by a mountain lion, a jogger attacked by a dog, sure.

In this case, the whole point of the sport is the torture the bull into attacking you, and dodge his attacks. So it's an exception for me.

In regard to the stabbing- they do it over and over.

See those feathery bloody things? Those are barbed lances with which the bull is stabbed to cause it pain and weaken it's shoulder and neck muscles for the final killing blow.

Ouch, that had to hurt pretty damn bad. Hope he survives, but I really don't have any sympathy for him. Definitely in total agreement with the people siding with the bull. If you're going to be cruel to an animal, then you deserve some sort of retribution. Just a shame it doesn't happen more often; maybe if Matador's were getting gored and badly injured regularly they'd stop practising the 'sport', and I use that word lightly. There is no way it's a legitimate sport.
