Fight football league- crazy sport

Fight Football League (FFL), is an organization which promotes a new form of entertainment that takes inspiration from an ancient game called "Harpastum".

This very popular game during Roman Empire was practiced as a training for battle, it is the foundation of modern Soccer and Rugby and it is still played once a year since 1500 in Florence, Italy with the name of "Calcio Storico".

Fightfootball takes the essence of these legendary games, introducing innovative rules and equipment to develop a tough but safe nonconventional postmodern form of sport.

In the FFL the objective is to score goal, however, players are allowed to fight their opponents using several fighting techniques. FFL Rules are manifold, it is only allowed to fight only one against one, it is not allowed to strike when running or towards whom is running, no hitting from the back or on the ground, injuries or KOs can consequence into the elimination of the player.

Footballfighters are athletes coming from different backgrounds, mainly: Calcio Storico, Rugby, Boxing, Wrestling and "Mixed Martial Arts". FFL training is the ultimate workout, a match duration is 48 mins and Footballfighters need to be in condition to run and fight to defend themselves, their share of playing field, their teammates and ultimately score goal.

Fun trivia: In danish "kamp" means "match" or "fight". So Martin Kampmann really lives up to his name.

I am so down to play this sport. It looks so barbarick and insane. I could see a chick watching this preview and just saying: Pfew, stupid men. But thats why it is awsome. Its funny in some clips it seems like there are 5 fight matches going on while someone is running with a ball and being chased. That is a man field right there.

looks pretty crazy! i'd watch it. who knows if it's nearly as exciting as the clip though, football can tend to drag.

I don't see how this could work. You'd think in what amounts to a rugby game, but with legal striking, you'd see people getting blindsided and sucker punched all the time, there was none of that in the highlights, it was all kinda strange duel-offs where two guys engaged each other exclusively.

What are the rules? Can't find any explanation on their website and there doesn't seem to be a wikipedia page for them like most other sports.

Everybody good, plenty of slaves for my robot colony?

"Corazon de un Leon"

To whomever keeps deleting my sig, the size is 408x220 the rules state it must be smaller than 420x220, thus i am not breaking the rules.

I don't understand where the fighting comes into play.

You can play and try to score, or

You can fight somebody one on one?

It doesn't matter.

Where do you guys want to play?
