This is by far the most fascinating and intriguing post I have read today.

You're right I have no idea.

I learned gun safety along with my ABCs (dad was a cop). I learned to shoot when I was small enough that a .410 shotgun knocked me flat. I got my first .22 target pistol for my 9th birthday. As an adult I sometimes see the madness in our culture and wish it weren't so easy for the crackheads to get a gun but, I have no idea how the rest of the world sees us and I would love to hear all about it. Seriously. PM me if you don't want to piss off any gun nuts. I don't want to start any arguments. I would just love to hear other perspectives. (Anyone outside the US)

It's really strange^^

I don't even know how I should even come close to soemthing like a gun. I probably haven't seen more then 4 or 5 in my entire life.

I truly believe that's one of the by far biggest mistakes in American society.

I would be scared to death to walk outside, if I knew that people in my village are allowed to wear a gun at home.

Much apologies. I wasn't talking about you or anyone in particular.

I meant the other gun nuts.

My dad use to have this problem with his glock and it's just the type of ammo as said before use brass not FMJ rounds. Look a Winchester white book ammo.

Oh shit here we go with another honest question that turns into a gun control argument thread.

Look guys I understand cultures relativism but me personally I am agaist gun control. Now I am not a nut that has a bunch of fully automatic rifles just likes to throw lead down range for no reason but I do have a shot gun assault rifle and a few had guns. A hand gun
has saved me and a few of myf riends just by showing it to some thugs. Most thugs shot their pants and run when they see a gun. I also use to shoot competatively and won a few matches till the economy won't in the crapper. I carry a gun for self defense because even though I am a good fighter I am not kidding myself when they come in packs I got no chance. I have also experienced civil unrest first hand. In Louisville we had a major black out and were without power for months. Durring that time there were shortages in food gas was nowhere to be found for miles and because of this violence in crime went way up. Even my mother who hates guns and would love to see them ban said multiple times to me or my dad "do u have your gun?" now that was just a few months without power then I think of what would happen if something more serious would happen and given the rappid change in the US it's not that far fetched.

Again I am all for some minor things like background checks and and waiting periods but being able to have a few guns is important to me.

I can relate to a lot of that. I carry for the same reasons. I'm glad I have it in my home for just such situations. I have very little problem with single shot guns, like shotguns, some rifles etc. I'm against semi-automatic weapons with 30 rounds of ammo. Guns like the tech-9 etc. Assault weapons in general to the public im against.

I'm certainly not for taking away peoples guns, but id like to see more limits on the kind of guns.

Yeah I have no problems with semi auto assault rifles. One I belive people are going to get them on the black market. Lots of people use them for long range competition and in the case of civil unrest that's what I would have in the trunk. Also it's in the constitution not to take them away and my favorite president TR created the CMP so we can stay a strong nation agains civil unrest and a possible innovation. But I am not trying to argue here but that's just my feeling.
