With the exception of Eric Balfour, the stars are mostly unknowns which is not actually a bad thing imo. That said, Mike Bisping has a big role, Danny Trejo has a significant part as well, and there are cameos by Bobby Lashley and Heath Herring. Although it does have the typical movie flair to the fights, they are also some of the most realistically depicted in terms of MMA. There's a heel hook, a wide variety of MMA-legal strikes, and Bisping even wins a fight by kimura.
I came into this expecting nothing so it was a pleasant surprise that this movie didn't suck nearly as bad as Never Back Down or Unrivaled.
