Beatdown- the movie

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1568323/

With the exception of Eric Balfour, the stars are mostly unknowns which is not actually a bad thing imo. That said, Mike Bisping has a big role, Danny Trejo has a significant part as well, and there are cameos by Bobby Lashley and Heath Herring. Although it does have the typical movie flair to the fights, they are also some of the most realistically depicted in terms of MMA. There's a heel hook, a wide variety of MMA-legal strikes, and Bisping even wins a fight by kimura.

I came into this expecting nothing so it was a pleasant surprise that this movie didn't suck nearly as bad as Never Back Down or Unrivaled.

I never got why people watch MMA movies. The acting is always awful, and you're watching a bad interpretive dance version of MMA.

Is it like some weird badge of honor? Like those awful August Underground movies?

I'll fully admit I watched this movie because it had some fighters in it that I recognized. I am a fan so this kind of stuff interests me. And like I said, this actually was better than most of the other MMA movies I've seen. The acting is not particularly awful in this one.

Man, it's a movie. You should never watch movies for realism because you always get disappointed.

Just watch it for what it is, and you'll enjoy more movies that way.

There is some boobs in one or two parts. I also saw Mike Swick and Yves Edwards in this film.
