Honda, I'm done with you!

For many years, you have heard people say, "Honda is reliable," "They are more efficient, best vehicle available," and today, I've come to the conclusion they are all lies. I vow to never buy another Honda. Never!

In February 2010, my seat started 'rocking'. I took it to the dealership, and after having the car inside the shop for the entire day, they were unable to duplicate the problem. I showed up, and had to show them what I meant. They had to order the part, and I had to make a trip up about a week later for them to repair my seat. Bam! $293 later, my seat was fixed. About two months later, same thing. My seat was 'rocking'. I took it back, and again, the part had failed. They ordered another one, and this time, they installed it for free. All was good...

Until a month later...

The seat was once again, 'rocking'. I've come to the conclusion I'm going to have to visit Honda every couple months to 'tighten it', until I get rid of the piece of shit.

Then, another month later, my seat belt buckle stopped working. My driver's side seat belt at that. I called them, and they couldn't get me in for two weeks. I told them that was unacceptable because this was a safety issue. They ordered the buckle, and called me to bring the car for repair, and the buckle was fixed free of charge. (Honda has a lifetime warranty on all safety equipment.)

Current day, I'm once again calling Honda. My seat (the same seat) has come completely off track. It doesn't lock in, and I can literally 'slide' back and forth without pulling up on the bar. (The bar underneath that you pull to unlock your seat to move forward or backward.) I have an appointment on Friday, and I'm tired of it.

Not to mention, this is my second Honda, and the second Honda that I've had trouble with. My previous Honda went through two transmissions, which my parents paid for because I was a teenager.

My car is an '04 Civic EX, and I've never been this disappointed with a vehicle. I've had Honda's, Dodge's, Ford's, Chevrolet's, and Nissan's, and my Honda's are by far the worst vehicles I've ever owned.

P.S. I live nearly 30 miles from the dealership. It's not really a 'drive across town', if you know what I mean.

Yeah. I've had more problems with my wife's Element than my Saturn... and the Saturn is twice as old.

Defecato, ergo sum.

Nope, never. I have a friend of mine that bought a 'like new' Audi, and has already put hundreds into it within only a couple months. I hate to be the 'typical American redneck', but I've never had a single problem with my Ford's, Dodge's, or Chevrolet's.

"like new" means that it was 2nd hand?
If it is, then perhaps it wasn´t like new after all.

Anyway, i´ve an Audy (bough it new) and have no complains about it yet, except that the maintenance is expensive.

I had to get 4 new tires, new brake pads, and new front rotors within the first year of owning my Honda. But that was probably from me playing with the e-brake too much.

Seriously though I haven't had a problem nor have my buds with their Honda's.

I'm not much of a fan when it comes to honda. My wife drives one and its been pretty good so far. Honda s just seem lame/boring/typical to me. In my life ive owned two chevys (67 camaro, 90s s10) and two mitsubishi cars (99 eclipse gsx and 2005 lancer evolution). So far all my vehicles have been great, especially the mitsubishi cars and what ive done with them

I really want to love it, cause it's a bad ass looking car, but I'm tired off putting unnecessary money into it. I thought my BMW was bad, but it was a saint compared to this Honda.

I wish I still had my Ford Ranger.

next time you are forced to go to the dealership, you need to be more of a D1CK, and make them fix it right, there is no way whatever they are fixing is the actuall cause of the problem. It sounds like its the end result of something else malfunctioning.
