If it makes you guys feel any better, I have a non-verbal learning disability. So essentially, all British humor to me is a bunch of idiotic babble since British humor is primarily based on wit, sarcasm, and non-verbal communication. I have a girl in one of my classes who is British, from Sunderland specifically, and while she's a sweet girl, sometimes I can barely understand her. I have to keep reminding her sometimes to "give it to me straight" because she communicates based on wit, hints, sarcasm, and non-verbal communication. She probobly thinks I'm some humorless American bimbo.

It's just different styles of communication, which ironically, despite Americans and Brits speaking the same language, is probobly our biggest difference culturally.

Bravo. You have it figured m'Lady.

I wish all non-british peoples could understand us as well as Ari here. The way we act seems so normal to us... but I appreciate we might well come off as arrogant side-stepping arseholes to at least 50% of the globe.

... saying that... some of us *are* the biggest arseholes on the planet. That's what makes the game so interesting!
