No, I like my guns. I'll let you defend yourself against a knife, enjoy that death.

look VP we can go back and forth on this till the end of time. I probably am not going to change you mind on a forum. I just know this.

1. There are evil people out there
2. a gun is the most effective way to defend against them.
3. Criminals will be able to get a hold of guns even after ban. The ban takes weakens law abiding citizens more than criminals.
4. banning guns would be plucking the teeth of the sheep dogs (defenders) of society.
5. no guns means a weaker civilian population.
6. The crime rates are dependent on the society not the weapons there.
7. the gun levels the playing field for those who would normally not be able to defend themselves.
8. i want to be able to defend myself, my friends, and most importantly my family against any threat that we may encounter.

given that i am against a gun ban.

No.

Murder and war have been around long, long, LONG before guns ever came to be. Take away gusn, take away knifes, take away bats, poles, sticks, take away whatever you can think of, and humans WILL find a different way to murder each other. It's in our nature to be self destructive and violent as a whole.

Banning guns would do no good, so why ban them.

the fact hes an evil piece of shite hunting ppl like animals is neither here nor there. if he was packing in a gun free country he could be shot on sight.

youre accusing me of missing the bigger picture but i dont know that thats me. have you been to many countries where guns are banned?

have you seen the difference?

arguing the different prevelances of murder in legal gun states still ignores the lack of it in gun free countries.
Are you going to start the pro life vs abortion thread next? Religion and politics would be nice too though. decisions, decisions...

void the constitution, start a civil war and being okay with the mass of burning bodies and cash involved... they could probably do it.

i said id stay out of this one.

but...

1 some kid just held up his school which makes this topical. the fact you dont even know about it only illustrates what a common occurance it is.

2 if guns were banned less ppl would be murdered. i dont know how you can argue that.

3 guns v government is ridiculous

4 guns v criminal is a false sense of security. how the **** you see criminals toting guns when it can get you shot on sight i dont see. and if you think going rambo on criminals who have the means and desire to kill you will help, then good luck with that one. there are far more chances of getting yourself killed. and the situation is escalated by the fact they are legal. even if you had a gun and felt you had the right to keep one just in case, thats different to the fact they are freely available and accessible to ****in kids in your country.

9000 ppl get shot to death every year in usa. justify it all you want but its a ridiculous amount for a ''civilised'' country.

thats 3 x 9/11 every single year.

thats it really. its so ****in obvious youre all killing each other cos theres too many guns. but go ahead. have your say.

People will find a way to kill others, no getting around it.

Death is required in our society and our species, not just by old age, but by murder and war. We've been at war and murdering people since our race started. It's what we do, and we're really really good at finding new ways to do it.

Besides, the earth is already overpopulated. Between cancer and other illness, natural disasters, accidents like car crashes, things like smoking and other drugs, along with the large sum who get shot yearly, the earth is still very overpopulated. By nauture we die and we kil leach other, use drugs and die or whatever, so.. saying guns kill people isn't a very valid argument for a reason to ban it, when pretty much everything on this planet kills people.

2. Back to washington D.C, example 90s hand guns ban, murder capital of the world. today handguns legal not even in the top 5 of the USA. The ban didnt result in less killing. Infact there were more killings with the gun ban than there were without it. now i cant say the overturning of the gun ban caused there to be less but the tun law didnt result in less murders.

4. explain better. are you talking about getting the police to shoot them on sight?

who said anything about going rambo.

I am taking about if some one walks up to me and threatens me i show them the gun and if they attack me or my family i will shoot.

so because there are a few un responsible adults out there that let their kids get their guns you are going to take away peoples ability to defend themselves that can only defend themselves with a gun
