Lets talk M. Night Shyamalan......

I just watched "The Happening" and I just can't believe this came from the same guy who did Unbreakable and Sixth Sense! I only paid $5.00 for this movie and I still feel like I got cheated and paid to have sex with a monkey--a DUDE monkey! Its one of those movies that you have see to appreciate how bad it is!

I do enjoy some of M. Nights work. Hell, I'm probably one of the few people that liked Lady in the Water despite its faults! I thought Signs was a good movie despite the fact that most of the characters acted more like drones then human beings. I was disappointed with The Village because I was expecting a monster movie and it turned out to be something completely different. I haven't seen The Last Airbender but I heard he completely ****ed that up.

I guess the point of the thread is I want to get your opinion on M. Night and his movies? Do you like his movies or do you believe he was a one trick pony and that Sixth Sense and Unbreakable will be his only two master pieces?

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

I liked The Happening too. Unfortunately the simple "earth fights back" concept wasn't developed well enough to carry the film. I enjoyed everything I saw but was left with too many questions to feel satisfied. I see what he was trying to do but I'd still agree that it's his weakest entry, it wasn't great and I can see why many outright hated it.

I got seven words for you....

Marky Mark trying to outrun WIND!

If that doesn't sound stupid enough how about Marky Mark stopping poisonous air by ...ready for this...closing a door! You think Lady in the Water was Worse after hearing that!

I really enjoyed The Village or at the very least the first half of it.

When you open with something like The Sixth Sense I guess it's hard to keep making films on that level and your next films bound to be worse.
I've seen Signs and The Village and they were pretty entertaining but I haven't watched them again. Definitely not Sixth Sense caliber. Although haven't rewatched that either
