I have quite a serious problem about travelling to US

I am just about to book a 2 week holiday to florida next year with my girlfriend and her family, But i just remembered that i have a criminal record , I got charged for possesion of a class A drug(cocaine) about 4-5 years ago, even though wasnt even mine(its a long story). Obvisouly its quite embarrasing and i dont want my GF's family to know about this, but will i have a problem getting into the country? and if so is there anything i can do before go to prevent any hassle?

im not a lawyer or government agent but yeah, I think you're going to have a problem, and if that problem happens as your trying to go through customs the 'rents are gonna know something's up, even if the airport staff don't tell anyone but you why you can't enter.

I know this is for Canada but it might help:

I have bad news. You can enter the US for a lot of things, but drug posession is usually not among those. In fact you almost certainly won't be allowed into the country. UNLESS you contact the US embassy in your country (office of consular affairs) and get a waiver.

Thanks for your help, ive been searching google for a clear answer but i cant really find one, its seems like am going to have to look into more and maybe even contact someone for advice. So do you think i will need to get a waiver?

I cant even remember if i got charged or if it was a caution or what, i dont even know if that matters, do you think i go to a police station and ask them if its on my criminal record? I know i got my fingerprints and dna taken if that means anything , i just dont a clue where to start or what to do tbh.
