It must be crazy to see the site then and now The Don. And even crazier, you're still around, that's awesome.

Yea it has changed A LOT.. I dropped off my posting for awhile.. every once in awhile i'd peek back in.. but there are some great posters now.. some dumb arses as well.. but they will always be around on a site this large..
I only see one way this site could grow.. beyond what it is now.. from all the MMA sites I have seen there is really only one I know personally that is bigger then this and it is Sherdog.. Gods I hate parts of that site though I remember when we were just starting the fighters section.. and me and IronMan were the main ones in the training section...
A lot has changed... most for the better.

I am happy to be a part of this forum.
I have been on this site for about 3 years, 2 of them a member. I didn't post for a long long time, mainly because I was initially intimidated by the big posters and thought that my opinions would be shot down and the "noob" attack would start.
I needn't have worried, I have only been posting regularly for about 4/5 months and have only recently taken the plunge to become a paid member.
The success of this forum for me personally is that the members and specifically the mods and other paid members are helpful nice guys. Like I have said previosuly, it is bloody hard to find a forum where you can have open disagreements with people about a subject you love and it not turn into a flame war.
I would just like to say thanks for the guys that have made this site as good as it is and I hope I will be able to add something with my time here.
Cheers

I'm glad your experience here has been so fulfilling. We are often able to have a civilized debate, which is absolutely amazing to me.
I was much n00bier than you ever were, and I jumped right in like an idiot, and the vast majority of people were helpful and knowledgeable and friendly.

Oh, believe me, I was much more n00bier then any of you.
Another thing I love about this forum is the reputation system, and the vBookie sections. The layout is also great on this forum, and everyone is always so helpful when you have a problem.

To add some praise, I learned a lot about civilized posting right here on MMAF. No need to mention my MMA knowledge has increased, and this is the only place people can talk about fighting in a civilized manner. Ironic isn't?
All hail to MMAForum!
