Tunes while you train
What albums/artists are you favorite for a session?
I was listening to some Emcee Lynx the other day but I only really like a handful of songs. been looking for some hip hop (or death metal, heh) I can really get into, suggestions appreciated.

Depends on what I am doing. I like heavy stuff to pump me up if I am doing weights. If I running or something, prefer calmer music. Also anything with motivational lyrics. Don't really have artist preferences though.

On the way to the gym, either AC/DC, Slipknot, Deftones, Static-X, or some other hate music. At the gym, anything with tempo. I don't really listen as much as I use the tempo to keep me moving.

I'm very picky when it comes to what music I listen to when i lift. For the most part it's heavy/trash metal, with a few rap songs in between. It's gotta be heavy, fast, relentless, something that puts me in the right frame of mind for lifting. Some of the bands that ticks those boxes would be Pantera (probably my favorite for lifting, Rage Against The Machine, Disturbed, Megadeth, Atreyu, Slayer... anything that can get my blood pumping.

this past week i've discovered death metal and hip hop work really well for me. Angry music gets my drive going.
I put some Hatebreed and Skinless on my mp3, which is okay. I didn't like breaking benjamin in the past but a couple of their songs like Blow Me Away get me pumped for working out. A few Dead Prez songs and Emcee Lynx thrown in there too.

Oh, and calm instrumentals with a strong beat are great too. Zodiak Cancer, Do make say think. There's this cover of Heart Shaped Box done by a jazz band, and I actually really like it.

Will +rep you in a sec for Ministry
For getting ready for a workout? Down, Crowbar, Deftones
For the actual workout? Mostly JayZ and Snoop Gogg, just like the flow of the music, sometimes the gym will have euro Trance which I don't mind.
