I'm leaving...
For 6 weeks 
I am going to Mexico from 4th of December until middle of January. I wanted to share this with my true brothers on this forums. I'm going to visit various places in Mexico. It should be fun and I am looking forward to it.
Has anybody here ever been to or is from Mexico? Does anybody here know how Mexico is to us gringos?
What advice do you people recommend to me? |

Just stay away from Tijuana...far away. Be careful...you're going into country with zero rules. Resorts are isolated, but outside of it...it's fair game to the narcos.
Plus side clubs have these $40 cover with all you can drink. Have fun!

Mexico? I'm jealous. Maybe the movies and all have created a wrong vision of the place for me but i want to visit the it as well. Have fun and keep us updated.

No Mercy, Tijuana is one of the few places that we are not going to visit, so you don't have to worry about me visiting it. As long as we don't killed, I believe we can enjoy the experiences.
I will have fun and keep you all updated my brothers.

Just got back from Cancun, been to Cabo, Isla Mujeures and Cozumel. Didn't care for Cancun, its high end shopping and giant night clubs, if your rich the shoppings great if your young the night life would be great, I am stuck in the middle so it wasn't for me. Cozumel is a lot of fun as is Isla Mujheures for a day. Cabo was alright but cold at night but for my money its all about Playa Del Carmen just outside Cancun, if your can stay in Playa its the shits IMO.

Toxic, Isla Murejes was terrible. Very touristy and with too many beggers wanting my money. I was very disappointed there. I did like Tulum and Holbox, though.
Mexican´s have been smiley and stuff when they want their money. But everytime I am just walking around with my wife, they just laugh at me and say something in Spanish. I will not be returning to the country as it seems too faced.
