Or maybe, they were trying to make things seem bigger than they really are to justify the military being in Panama instead of fighting in Vietnam.
But ya, nature is full of crazy shit.

I've watched all 3 episodes now and I gotta say this show is THE SHIT! Just awesome. I think I saw the birds you talked about pt, those birds of paradise. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, it really looked computer generated. But I know it wasn't. And the ocean episode was cool too. The ocean is like a whole other universe, it's so crazy how little we know about it. I mean, how is it possible that we have no idea how the largest animal to ever exist, the blue whale, mates or lives. We don't know where they go to mate, and we don't know hardly anything about how they live. How is that possible? Just shows you how big and vast the oceans really are. I mean how can you not find 2 blue whales mating and some point in time?

Dude I thought the same thing but it's the cameras man! Those camera's are so expensive it's not even funny. That's why this show has so much hype because of how incredibly detailed and magnificent it is. It's not computer graphics man, it's just the true beauty of nature in high definition on regular tv. Imagine watching this show on Hi def big screen, that would be awesome!

i don't know what i can say, other than i didn't see it like that at all. how'd they look fake, because they're the clearest images ever captured? because they're non-standard shots of animals behaving in more "life-like" ways then just plodding along, like we've seen from nature shows forever? this show took over 5 years to complete... it's all about the footage!
