Not entirely... Remember that the "Holocaust" is mostly used in refernce by western cultured nations post WW2. Hell, even in that regards there are a lot of so called "western" nations that don't teach it as a part of modern history. West Germany prior to the fall of the Berlin Wall is a prime example. Kept in context, it isn't too suprising considering we have people logged in from all over the world.

Well, Germany at least has an excuse to not teach it. Not a good excuse but at least an understandable one. It's embarrassing for them.

The point of the article is that the UK is not a muslim nation. I'm trying to make the point that radical islam is taking over what used to be predominately judeo-christian nations. The people in Germany prolly would rather not talk about the Holocaust because it's depressing to them knowing that their country was basically responsible for the killing of 6 million + jews and christians. I can sorta understand that. SORTA. But for a school to STOP teaching the holocaust because some Muslims don't believe it is just not good. Agree?

PS I think I misunderstood your post but I already typed this all out so I'm not rewriting another one. I get what you mean, you were saying it's not unheard of for someone to be unfamiliar with that word.

Wow man if you are really from Israel I gotta say I am surprised to read such good english from most of your posts. You sound like a typical American teen (no offense, seriously). I just mean the words you use sometimes. I don't know a whole lot about Israel, but I never thought that you guys would use terms like "for f*ck's sake". And I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I'm just surprised...I can't believe how well you can speak english...I'm guessing you are 20 or 21? Of course it probably is easier to type or write in another language than to actually speak it...lol for all I know you speak horrible broken english. But, I don't know any other languages so it's just surprising to me that you guys over there study english so much harder than people here in the US study other languages.

well actualy my main problem is that i know alot of words,but have no idea how to write some of them XD
i used to play alot of MMORPG's so,thats how i got to know about ffs,rofl and etc
and yea my english is surely not the best around since i have none to talk to lol
and dont take me as an example lol,realy dont XD
i was in the 5 pointers english class wich is the highest there is and well not many could actualy write an understandable sentence and i'm realy trying my best to not make any stupid spelling mistakes
and my ages is indeed a factor,i'm 20,and most of the people i met on the net were kids so ofcourse they didnt have the best english so they were mostly writing hebrew words in english

As for the Holocaust, yes someone in Iran denies it, but so do many people in the West. No–one (especially in the West) teaches muslims that the holocaust = lies or anything, that comes from the idiotic anti–Islamic rhetoric taught about muslims (mainly by America).

And in Jewish terminology ‘holocaust’ simply refers to the animal consecrated to God in the form of a burnt offering, presumably why one poster here felt a little confused at the use of that word!
