I agree....I would just like to know why a south korean has that written on his arm....I don't think it should be ignored. There's obviously a reason why he did it before he killed those people.

Ishmael is feautred prominantly in Jewish, Christian, and Islamic tradition. He's a malign figure whom this kid obviously identified with to help him with his "transformation" into the persona that he attained to carry out the attacks. That's all. Religion provided him a guise for his phychosis, but he would have found it in some comic book character, some animal, or something else. All it was was something important to him. it doesn't have to have a broader context, or in any way link current problems around the world.

This was some figmant of his Psychosis, nothing more. it doesn't have to mean anything to anyone. He could have just as well put "boogypappabootydong" on his p enis, cut it off and hung it around his neck... that doesn't mean the anti-christ coming for your p enis...

I was watching NBC earlier, and they were playing some video clips that this dude sent to them. He was very emotional, and you could tell the level of hatred in his heart. It spilled out onto those video clips.

Apparently, between the 2-hour-break from his initial kill to the mass murder, he sent pictures of himself like the one above, video with a statement, and "disturbing" writings in a package to NBC.

The warning signs were there and sadly no one took real action.

It's just a shame, the situation that this loner with a chip on his shoulder is putting the victims' families through. I couldn't imagine having a sibling and / or child involved in something like this. It's just so devastating to me.

Not that it needs to be said again, but it's going to be. My deepest condolences to the families and friends of all the victims at VT. I'll keep them all in my thoughts and prayers.
