Q&A With MMAF's Own Transgender Woman, Cowgirl
This thread may crash and burn, I am well aware of this.
I figure instead of having random questions littering the various threads I get involved in, we can have them all in one neat and tidy little place. Please post any questions you may have about me or my experience here. If you aren't comfortable posting a question you may have, feel free to PM me with it and I'll post it anonymously in this thread.
The reason for this Q&A is that questions have been popping up all over since I told everyone I was a transgender woman earlier this month. This is an opportunity for everyone to ask any questions they may have on the matter.
Keep it respectful

You should probably explain the situation to anyone who may not be aware of why they would ask you a question.

That's a great idea Life, I can't believe I forgot that. The title has been changed to reflect the content of this thread more accurately, and I've updated the OP with a little more of an explanation.

Okay, I'll bite.
From what I understand you are sexually attracted to women.
So do you define yourself as a lesbian?
What made you want to become a woman in the first place?

I tend to shy away from labels, but in a pinch, yes I would consider myself a lesbian.

From a very early age, I knew my outside didn't match the way I felt on the inside. So I guess to answer your question, my desire to be happy is what motivated me to go through this process.

I feel this will inevitably lead to a closed thread and hatred among those involved here, so see ya guys im jumping off the titanic before it hits the iceberg

Maybe you can elaborate on that "feeling" a little?
How does one "feel" like a man or a woman? I just feel like myself. I don't feel like a woman when I'm forced to wear a dress or make myself look "pretty". If anything I feel stupid. I'm just fine wearing a t-shirt, jeans and the only things I really like to do are putting on some eyeliner and straightening my hair. Anything else and I feel ridiculous.
I guess I'm trying to ask what "feeling like a woman" is like from your perspective.

You don't have a sense of your own gender, as part of your identity? I think most people do. It doesn't necessarily have to do with dressing a certain way or wearing makeup, but it can involve that.

"since I was outed as a transgender woman earlier this month."
No need to explain. You should rephrase "outted" cuz that usually refers to something derogatory. In this day and age nothing surprises anyone anymore. At least one of my old co-workers is definitely a gay another most likely. They're actually quite normal and very hard working. Before I may have been uncomfortable due to lack of maturity, but now it's just the way the world is. I'll tell you what confuses me more is why there are flotation devices under plane seats instead of parachutes?
So if that's who you are good then it is what it is. I don't think anybody is going to treat you any differently here.
btw: What dj program do you use. Ableton live and Serato...
