The Boston Red Sox hit four straight homers to match a major league record, and finished a satisfying sweep of the New York Yankees Sunday night.
Manny Ramirez, J.D. Drew, Mike Lowell, and Jason Varitek connected in a span of 10 pitches to give Boston a 4-3 lead against Chase Wright, who was making his second major league start.
Boston went on to win the game 7-6, sweeping the weekend series.

Congrats to the Red Sox for sweeping the Yankees in this series. First time they've swept New York at Fenway Park since 1990.
Also, congrats on getting into the MLB history books with the
back-to-
back-to-
back-to-
back home runs in the 3rd inning Sunday. That made the Red Sox only the fifth team in major league history, to hit four homers in a row.
Firt time that's happened since my Los Angeles Dodgers did it on Sept. 18 last season, against the San Diego Padres. Yeah, you read that right BigRand...and we're in first place as we speak!
So,
BIG UPS to the boys from Bean Town on their weekend sweep, and clutch Sunday night performance.
